Welcome To Our Website ...
It's Official ..... OFSTED have rated our nursery as GOOD with an OUTSTANDING outdoor learning and play area.

South Cave Bears Day Nursery is a small, family-owned, full time day nursery located in a peaceful location in the semi-rural village of South Cave. The nursery welcomes children from the age of 12 months to 5 years from South Cave and surrounding villages.

Our Nursery

The nursery’s elevated location at the South Cave Sporting Pavilion on the Bull Fields means that your child can enjoy panoramic views of fields, trees and animals from the very heart of the nursery environment.

We firmly believe that children learn best through play and from engaging in a wide variety of stimulating activities.  The nursery’s close proximity to the village’s sports fields and sports centre, library, pet shop, play park and Cave Castle’s very own duck pond mean that, in addition to our carefully planned nursery-based curriculum, your child will be given many opportunities to enjoy a wide range of first-hand experiences which will encourage them to learn and develop using all their senses.

For the safety of your child, entry into the nursery is controlled and no unauthorised person is admitted to the premises. All visitors to the nursery are accompanied at all times and we check carefully if you have arranged for an unfamiliar adult to collect your child. Ample safe off-road parking is also available for dropping off and collecting your child.

Our Ethos

As working parents with two children of our own, we understand the natural anxieties of parents who have to leave their children in the care of others and your child’s safety and well-being is our paramount concern.  It is our aim at South Cave Bears Day Nursery to offer the highest standard and quality of care to ensure that each child has opportunities to have fun, make new friends and achieve in a warm, safe and friendly environment. Ultimately, we aim to create a nursery that we would be happy for our own children to attend and, essentially, in which working parents can place their trust in order to be able to commit themselves to their career.

Paws

Studies have shown that “children who attend nurseries are more confident as they have mixed with other children from an early age, and can also go on to do better at school”.

We aim to make the nursery an environment which is focused on delivering all of the requirements of the new Early Years Foundation Stage by meeting the social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs of each child we care for in a happy, safe and secure environment with staff who enjoy providing for every child’s needs. In doing so, we hope that each child will grow and thrive and develop to its own individual potential and thus have a platform on which to build as they progress.
